David McCormick has been a full-time music educator for almost 30 years, founding the Alaska School of
Music in Anchorage and the School of Musical Traditions in Washington D.C.
His love of traditional folk styles led him naturally to the Asheville area, where he enjoys playing
regularly at several of the local jam sessions.
He teaches fiddle, guitar, bass and mandolin in a variety of styles including old-time, bluegrass,
Irish and Cajun.
